Free Placeholder Logos

In this post, I’ll be sharing my top picks for sites where you can find free placeholder logos for your design projects. Placeholder logos are perfect for when you’re working on a client project but don’t have their logo yet. Or, when you’re creating a template or mockup and need a dummy logo that the user can replace with their own design.

These sites have a great collection of logos to choose from, all of which are well designed and can easily be edited to suit your needs.

Logoipsum

Logoipsum offers a variety of logos including logomarks, logotypes, symbols and badges. All logos on the site are free to use in any personal or commercial project and can be downloaded in SVG format. The logos can also be used without having to provide credit and the site itself has a nice feature where you can set the color of the logos before you download them.

Logolix

The collection of placeholder logos available on Logolix is made up entirely of logomarks. The logos come in a variety of file formats, including PSD, PNG, EPS and AI. They’re all free to use for both personal and commercial projects, and even though it’s appreciated, crediting Logolix is not required.

Logodust

Logodust is a growing library of unused or rejected logo designs from design agency, Fairpixels.  Like Logolix, the Logodust library is made up exclusively of logomarks, all of which can be downloaded in SVG format. All marks are free to use in both personal and commercial projects and no attribution is required.
